Wii U launches with the strongest line-up of games for day one in Nintendo history

Wii U TO LAUNCH IN AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND WITH 24 GAMES AVAILABLE ON LAUNCH DAY

29th November 2012 – The wait is almost over as 30th November marks the launch of the hotly anticipated Wii U™. The latest home console from Nintendo boasts more variety of gameplay than ever before. The console incorporates multiple unique features including the Wii U GamePad, which offers a second window into the videogame world. Many of the features that make Wii U unique in the gaming landscape can be seen in the 24 thrilling launch games which are to be made available to purchase as packaged games on the same day the Wii U console hits the market.

Launch titles include third-party heavy hitters such as FIFA 13 from Electronic Arts, Activision’s Call Of Duty®: Black Ops II and Ubisoft’s ZombiU™, as well as games developed by Nintendo such as Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U.

Players can choose between a white console in the Basic Pack and a black console in the Premium Pack. The Wii U Basic Pack at the SRP AU $349.95* features a Wii U console with 8GB internal storage and a Wii U GamePad, both in white.The Wii U Premium Pack at the SRP AU $429.95* contains a black Wii U console and Wii U GamePad, and with 32GB of internal storage provides more space for downloadable digital content. The Premium Pack also contains a stand for the GamePad and console, a charging cradle for the GamePad, a sensor bar and the Nintendo Land software. Both packs also feature an HDMI cable and AC adapters for console and GamePad.
