TOM CLANCY’S RAINBOW SIX SIEGE’S BIGGEST ESPORTS EVENT BEGINS IN ONE MONTH

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — July 17, 2018 — Ubisoft® has announced that a month from now, fans will be able to witness sixteen of the best Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® teams in the world compete at the Six Major Paris, taking place from August 17th to 19th in Paris, France. Australian team, FNATIC, are one of three teams from APAC set to compete against the best teams in the world for a prize pool of $350,000 USD. The Six Major Paris is the biggest Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six esports event organised so far. After an intense group stage running from August 13th to 15th, the eight qualifying teams will face off in the Six Major’s finals, held at the Paris Expo – Porte de Versailles, Hall 4.

Each and every fan attending the event will be granted an in-game Six Major Paris charm, and will have the chance to participate in exclusive activities on site, in a dedicated Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Village. Inspired by the most iconic Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six maps, this unique area will allow fans to play the game’s latest content, attend masterclasses with pro players, compete in drone races, customise their own Rainbow Six jersey and much more.

Australian Rainbow Six team, FNATIC, have already qualified for the Six Major Paris after making the Top 5-8 in the Pro League Season 7 Finals

The Six Major Paris will also allow Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six fans to get their hands on exclusive Six Major apparel and worldwide exclusive access to the Six Collection Series 2 figurines.

The Six Major Paris will also feature more announcements on both Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege Year 3 game updates and the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six esports future plans. The Six Major Paris is part of the new Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Pro League format announced back in January, that kicked off last June with the launch of Pro League Season 8. Each Year will now be comprised of two six-month long Pro League Seasons (June-November and December-May), punctuated by two Majors: the traditional Six Invitational in February, and a new summer event, the Six Major, the first edition of which will take place in Paris.
