THE SIX® invitational 2019 prize pool exceeds $1,000,000 USD
A Preview of Year 4 Content and Behind the Siege Video Series Will All Be Featured At The Event In Montreal
SYDNEY, Australia — February 6, 2019 — Today, Ubisoft® announced that a selection of the top sixteen Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® teams from around the world will compete for the title of World Champion in the 2019 edition of the Six Invitational, including Australian fan-favourites, FNATIC. The third year of the Six Invitational brings together fans, professional players, developers and content creators to celebrate Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. Taking place from February 11th to 17th in Montreal, Canada, the birth city of the game, the Six Invitational 2019 will also feature exclusive insights on Year 4 Plans for Rainbow Six Siege from the development team.
This year’s championship features a $1,000,000+ USD prize pool, still increasing via the Road To Six Invitational revenue share program, the largest in Rainbow Six Siege’s history, bringing the total prize pool across all official Year 3 tournaments to more than $1,750,000 USD.
FNATIC coach and manager, Jayden ‘Dizzle’ Saunders said, “The Six Invitational is the pinnacle of the Rainbow Six esports scene. We work tirelessly day-in-and-day-out to compete at tournaments like this, and in our world this is the equivalent of playing for a flag on grand final day. It’s a moment we all dream of.”
In celebration of the many facets of the Rainbow Six Siege Community, Behind the Siege, a video series highlighting the many perspectives from the community of over 40 million will also premiere at the Six Invitational 2019 to offer a glimpse into what the game means for key community members. Interview subjects will include shoutcasters, esports professionals and community artists.
