Samsung Australia announces Galaxy Book and Galaxy Tab S3
SYDNEY, Australia – July 20, 2017 – Samsung Electronics Australia has today launched the Galaxy Book and Galaxy Tab S3, offering flexibility and choice for Australians who want to maximise productivity and entertainment in a beautifully crafted form factor.
The Galaxy Book is available in a 10.6-inch and 12-inch variant, whilst the Galaxy Tab S3 comes with a 9.7-inch variant. Both models will be available with 4G connected capability and have been calibrated for a great experience on Australian networks. Both tablet ranges have been designed to provide choice, flexibility along with a suite of premium features and designs across both Android and Windows platforms.
The Galaxy Book range operates with Microsoft Windows 10 and is designed to support user productivity and creativity and will be offered together with Samsung’s esteemed S-Pen and comfortable keyboard. The Galaxy Tab S3 operates on Android and, with an incredible Super AMOLED display, quad-stereo speakers and headphones tuned by AKG, is a great solution for entertainment anywhere.
In addition, Australians will also have the option to purchase a special edition classic Staedtler pencil, connecting a sense of nostalgia with the next iteration of penmanship.
The Galaxy Book and Galaxy Tab S3 both feature*:
- Screen: True-to-life colors and enhanced brightness and a Super AMOLED screen which supports HDR (10bit coloured) videos.
- Refined S Pen*: For a natural writing experience, the S Pen has a reduced 0.7mm tip and up to 4096 pressure level sensitivity. The S Pen also includes PDF Annotation for easy editing and professional-level drawing with Advanced Drawing Tools. In addition, Samsung has worked closely with Staedtler to develop the Noris Digital stylus, which delivers all the benefits of the S Pen with the look and feel of a real pencil.
- HDR (High Dynamic Range) Video Content: Galaxy Book 12-inch and Galaxy Tab S3 support videos in HDR (10-bit coloured) for true-to-life colours and vivid digital content.
- Game Launcher and Galaxy Game Pack: For a personalised mobile gaming experience with vivid and superior graphic technology and convenient gaming modifications from Vulkan API on the Galaxy Tab S3.

The Galaxy Book is lightweight 2-in-1 tablet, with a large 12 inch screen and comfortable keyboard. Built for the Windows 10 operating system, the Galaxy Book offers the full desktop Microsoft Office experience. For users looking for a more powerful tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Book 12-inch is equipped with a 7th Generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor, Dual Core 3.1GHz and the 10.6-inch with an Intel® Core™ m3 processor, Dual core 2.6GHz.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S3: The Versatile, Entertainment Tablet
The Galaxy Tab S3 is a 9.7 inch entertainment focused table, experience cinematic vision and sound on the go with the Super AMOLED display, quad-stereo speakers and headphones tuned by AKG. Optimised for gaming, the Galaxy Tab S3 includes Vulkan API for superior graphics and Game Launcher for an enhanced user interface and personalised gaming experience.
Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Book and Galaxy Tab S3 will be available locally from the Samsung eStore www.samsung.com.au and Samsung Experience Stores from July 28.
Carrier plans will be announced soon.
Customers who order the Galaxy Book before the 12th September will receive a complimentary Staedtler Pen and Samsung Multiport adapter valued at RRP $198. This offer will be available via Samsung and participating partners.
