– New designs for Nintendo 2DS hardware to launch as bundles with Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire from 4th December – Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version coming soon

26th September 2014 – As anticipation mounts for the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire on 21st November, Nintendo has today revealed upcoming hardware offerings for Nintendo 2DS* that present new designs for the system. From 4th December, Nintendo 2DS Transparent Red and Nintendo 2DS Transparent Blue will release in Australia and New Zealand together with one of the latest Pokémon titles in two new bundles for suggested retail price of AU$179.95 each.

With Nintendo 2DS Transparent Red + Pokémon Omega Ruby, fans can enjoy a bundle including a Nintendo 2DS Transparent Red system plus a copy of Pokémon Omega Ruby pre-installed on a 4GB SD card. Alternatively, with Nintendo 2DS Transparent Blue + Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, an offering including a Nintendo 2DS Transparent Blue system plus a copy of Pokémon Alpha Sapphire pre-installed on a 4GB SD card completes the Pokémon-themed Nintendo hardware bundle line-up. These new Nintendo 2DS consoles present the hardware in new eye-catching forms. Aside from the side paneling, both offerings are transparent in design, revealing the skeleton of the system underneath both the front and back of the system casing.

In addition, Nintendo Australia has today confirmed that selected Club Nintendo members will receive an email a code for the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version from 15th October, with the demo to be made available at selected retailers from 3rd November. The Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version features gameplay that players won’t experience anywhere else. During the course of this early adventure, players are likely to encounter a familiar Pokémon that can now Mega Evolve. What’s more, this Mega-Evolved Pokémon can be brought into the full Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire games. Reward items obtained during the Special Demo Version adventure can also be brought into the full game. Details about how to bring Pokémon and items into the full game will be announced soon.
