Beautiful tales!
Books are an important part of children’s lives that not only helps them read but also unleashes their imagination and My Wonderful Fairy Tales and Other Stories is one of those books that does just that. More importantly, it collects together some of the best fairy tales from the ages as it retells these stories with colourful illustrations that use die-cuts and elegant pop-ups to help bring this image to life.

The mastermind behind My Wonderful Fairy Tales and Other Stories is the talented Emmanuelle Pioli, a graphic designer who has created her own unique paper engineering technique that turns a 2D image into a 3D image as it pops out of the book. The end result is paper theatre and the beautiful interactive illustration by Emmanuelle Pioli makes this book a true keepsake.
Another highlight of My Wonderful Fairy Tales and Other Stories are of course the stories themselves… although these are classic fairy tells, these abridged versions successfully tell these tales well as these ageless characters such as Cinderalla and Pinochio are brought to life for another generation. They also goes hand in hand with the theatrical illustrations of Emmanuelle Piloi courtesy of her paper engineering.
Furthermore, each of the 3D images also highlight a certain element from these fairy tales such as Cinderella’s beautiful gown and carriage to Geppetto’s workshop home from Pinochio as you are given a sneak look into the lives of these classic characters. So while older children will enjoy both aspects of this book from the story to the theatre pop-out illustrations, younger children will be drawn in by the pictures and someone reading these tales to them.
