John Legend ‘All Of Me’ 2014 Tour Including A Day On The Green
The supremely talented, #1 charting neo-soul singer JOHN LEGEND is set to thrill his Australian fans this December.
Legend today announced a national headline tour (Live Nation) in support of his fourth highly-acclaimed album Love In The Future, featuring five-times platinum ARIA #1 single All Of Me.
An Evening With John Legend – teaming the multi-award winning, platinum-selling singer-songwriter with his super talented band plus a guest string section – promises an intimate show not to be missed, featuring Legend’s intoxicating vocals and incredible musicianship.
Most recently here as a special guest on Alicia Keys’ Australian arena tour last December, Legend wowed audiences with his smooth and sophisticated RnB songbook, prompting incessant demand for a return headline tour.
The “All Of Me” national tour will include two very special a day on the green performances at Bimbadgen Winery, Hunter Valley NSW on Saturday December 6 and at Rochford Wines, Yarra Valley VIC on Saturday December 13.
Dami Im will open all shows on the tour, with Megan Washington joining as special guest at the a day on the green shows.
Since releasing his 2004 critically acclaimed Billboard #1 debut album Get Lifted, which featured the hit single Ordinary People, singer-songwriter John Legend has gone on to sell an impressive seven million albums worldwide, garner nine GRAMMY awards, five Soul Train Awards, the BET Award for Best New Artist and the special Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
All of Legend’s four studio albums have made the top five in the Billboard 200 charts, each developing and extending his artistry with a plethora of hit singles and killer collaborations.
For Love in the Future, which peaked at #4 on Billboard 200, Legend teamed up with longtime collaborators Kanye West and Dave Tozer. The third single lifted from the album, All Of Me – the wedding song for his recent marriage to model Chrissy Teigen – was the first R&B ballad to top the Hot 100 charts in 18 years. Hitting #1 on dozens of charts around the world, All of Me is John Legend’s highest selling and first #1 single in Australia, remaining at the top of the ARIA singles chart for four weeks and also selling more than 5.5 million singles worldwide.
Joining John Legend at the a day on the green shows will be special guest Megan Washington. Megan is a two-time ARIA Award winner and multi-platinum album selling artist. Following her acclaimed, anthem-filled debut record I Believe You Liar (2010), and its follow-up – the majestic mini-album Insomnia (2011), Megan Washington recently released her second full-length album and her first release in over two years, There There. Megan has served as a mentor on The Voice Australia and inspired the world with her honest and personal story via a captivating TEDx Talk in Sydney, Australia.
Since her deserved win on The X Factor last year, Dami Im has captured the hearts and attention of fans all around Australia. Her new album Heart Beats, released on October 17, has seen Dami realise a long-awaited dream to release a studio album complete with her own material that represents her true genuine self as an artist. Dami Im’s diversity, musicality and powerhouse vocals are showcased in what is an incredible collection of tracks, including her Platinum single Super Love and Gold single Gladiator, both released earlier this year.
