This was a really nice DVD to watch. Longboarding is as you might have guessed, surfing on a longboard like a malibu etc. There is such a grace and skill involved with riding these boards that generates an honest to goodness emotion in most who watch them.

Shutter Speed looks and sounds great and for fans of the sport, myself included, the riders you'll see on this disc are sensational. The only real gripe I have with the disc is that that it only runs for a very short amount of time, the flip side of that is simply that it makes more impact as a result when you watch it.

The film covers a number of different longboard surfers and offers up opinions on their styles from their peers. It also takes us to some breathtaking coastlines along the way.

I would have to say that this disc really doesn't cover what it says on the slick. It's not a true longboard documentary, rather it's a great featurette about some of the surfers on the longboard scene. I might be a stickler here but them's the facts folks. It's not a doco but it is beautiful in it's own right.

Extras on the disc include a picture slideshow and also quite a few Madman Propaganda Trailers. Make sure you check them out as there are quite a few good titles that I hope to cover for you.
