Soon, fans around the world will get a first look at select new products inspired by the upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the world’s first live, global toy unboxing event unfolds across 12 countries, 15 cities and 18 hours. Sydney kicks off this global event – so Australia is first!
Digital stars from the Maker Studios network will join forces from iconic destinations around the world, each revealing a new product LIVE for viewers at the events and via a live stream at the Star Wars YouTube Channel
Unboxing is a YouTube phenomenon, accounting for billions of views this year alone. Fans can watch online as the celebration kicks off in Sydney at 7:45 a.m. AEST on Sept. 3 (5:45 p.m. EDT on Sept. 2) and rolls around the world. Los Angeles-based hosts will provide commentary throughout the 18+-hour event that also will include: Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Paris, Madrid, Berlin, London, Rio de Janeiro, New York City, Toronto, Chicago, Mexico City and Los Angeles. Lucasfilm in San Francisco will host the global grand finale at 8 a.m. PDT (11 a.m. EDT) on Sept. 3.
The fan celebration will continue into Sept. 4, ‘Force Friday,’ as stores around the world open their doors at midnight when film-inspired products will hit shelves. Check www.StarWars.com for more information.

MIDNIGHT OPENING EVENT – WESTFIELD DONCASTER

Fans are invited to be some of the first in the world to get their hands on an all-new generation of Star Wars merchandise!
Come on down to Westfield Doncaster from 8pm to experience the latest Star Wars entertainment Zone and be entertained by host Matt Acton as you wait for Target and Toys ‘R’ Us to open their doors at midnight!
The new fully immersive Star Wars Zone is sure to entertain:
• The worlds of Star Wars as you’ve never seen them before projected on a gigantic globe
• All new photo opportunities for fans with new Star Wars character Kylo Ren & Stormtroopers (standees)
• Jedi Training hosted by a Jedi Master
• Life size Hasbro blister pack to jump into for unique photos
• Disney XD Star Wars Rebels gaming station
Fans are also invited to jump into the Duracell photobooth and pull their best Jedi moves to receive their very own digital GIF to share on social media. When uploaded to social channels with the hashtag #Duracell fans will receive a free pack of Duracell batteries in preparation for any new Star Wars products that need powering.

Target and Toy ‘R’ Us will open their doors at midnight for fans to be some of the first in the world to get their hands on an all-new generation of Star Wars merchandise!
6.30pm on Sept 3, the Bratayley kids will be at Westfield Parramatta to meet fans.
8.00pm – The Bratayley’s and Jay Laga’aia will open the latest Star Wars entertainment Zone.
