that 'im insane' written on the wall..is that really blood? i mean..if thats really blood, wouldnt the blood be really dried up and that the blood would stand out in a different color..the blood to me looks fresh..im just curious sigh

We need an Australian Ghost Hunters show to investigate. That wheelchair in the middle of nowhere is so freaky, I'd love to visit that place... at night though Smiley As to the "im insane", looks like someone used a spray can and then added the dripping later. Just my opinion but that place looks cool.

I also agree it looks like spraypaint.

Hey all, Im gathering I may be a little old for this room but I could'nt help see photos of a place I once worked before it got to its poor poor state. I worked there for two or so years not long after its final closing down and then it was'nt a hospital but somthing else I carnt rember anways what I was plug'n at was you try working there for a tweleve hour night shift and patroling the building and its grounds.... There are many other places/ buildings like this that I worked in as a night watchman throught Victoria you have so many close by to that. there was the mental instauation in or around the melton area its now near the new bi pass all the old farm stays and homsteds littered around the Hoppers Crossing, Aniky, Lara districs. or here in Melbournes CBD old hospitals, syco hospitals, old pubs ahh the place where they take dead "correners" office the sub station  and the list goes on. Its not so much what you see or hear but the different feelings you feel or the strange glimpse you get from the corner of your eye as you stand in a in adiquitly lit room or passage way thats more frightening then you know your not alone. I find it fasinating to be here to reminis of the years before what I'd give to be there again, well I dont belive I should say anymore but have fun with it and I will try to keep up with your conversations.

Good time….. sometimes and sometimes not, look it was a place to house people for the most part serious illness’s  and unfortunately those illness’s back then that they thought were problems were in fact not. People were sent there a range of reasons every thing from bed wetting to eating disorders I know it doesn’t make sense believe you me reading some of the personal files of thing people were sent there for you to would ask questions I think it was more a lack of understanding and education back then that unfortunately they all suffered. Any ways after dark lets see for me it was more to make sure that everything was locked down and of course back then the building wasn’t busted up like you see it in the photos yes run down but not like that, so you’d start in the basement and work your way up and once done then you go through the outer buildings. At first I found it fascinating but after a while you started to relax a little too much and then that’s when you start to notice the strange things and first they were little things, little things you’d ignore and over a period of time you became more aware of your surroundings and payed more attention to those little things, I’d say yes I enjoyed it would I trade it for anything no and most certainly creepy but it was a job, there are far worse places I’ve worked at.

this is mad i know but i only live 10 mins from here.... i never believed in ghost and that,, until myself and my younger uncles went there.... as we pulled up it was just going on 5.30ish  started walking up to the place just to get some nice pics of sunset and we all froze in our steps there was this light as if someone was running towards us but we couldn't see that well....

i didn't make much of it,, i think to myself it was the boys taking the piss out of me..... but 6 months later same thing happened when i went by myself..... im not a fan of this place at all....

Unfortunately Greenvale has been knocked down Sad

If you want a great Ghost Tour, J-Ward in Ararat (The Old Prison) is worth every penny. They also do midnight tours!
