Top Gear Season 19 DVD Review As is the case with many TV shows, it does help if you have seen “Top Gear” before but it is definitely not necessary. Whether or not you were a “Top Gear” fan before you see Season 19, you will want to watch more of it after.

Top Gear the Complete Series 19

There is just something about “Top Gear”. It is a television show about cars, but you really don’t have to be a fan of cars or know much about them in order to enjoy the show. There are not many shows out there like that. When a show specialises in something in particular like cars, you expect it to be pretty damn boring if you are not a rev-head.  Not “Top Gear” though. There is a reason why it has got to 19 seasons.

Season 19 of the hit BBC show indicates that the show has no intentions of slowing down or losing its appeal. Richard Hammond, Jeremy Clarkson and James May are back for five episodes to inform and entertain. As well as telling you what is happening in the world of automobiles and what’s new on the horizon, there are some crazy car adventures. Clarkson has some hilarious adventures with a car you don’t need to get out of, which proves to be more problematic than convenient, and he also finds a car you can play rugby in….but maybe not in the same way you are thinking. Celebrity guests for season 19 include Damien Lewis from “Homeland”, Amy McDonald, James McAvoy, Mick Fleetwood and Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton.

Season 19 also includes the two part Africa Special. Clarkson, Hammond and May drive across Africa in search of the source of the Nile. Even though the focus is one whos car will withstand the trip the best through the rugged land, there are some amazing landscape shots. This is one of the instances in the show where you don’t have to love cars. Travellers will adore this special. When the “Top Gear” guys take a road trip, you know there are going to be a lot of laughs involved with their antics and the competitiveness that goes on between all three of them.

As is the case with many TV shows, it does help if you have seen “Top Gear” before but it is definitely not necessary. Whether or not you were a “Top Gear” fan before you see Season 19, you will want to watch more of it after.
