The Night Evelyn Came out of the Grave - Uncut (Remastered)

Horror movies are a dime a dozen and before the stampede and campy-ness of the 1980's horror movies hit our screens, the 1970's also produced some interesting tales with the Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave, no exception to the rule.

The story stars Anthony Steffen as an English aristocrat who mourns his dead wife Evenlyn. However, in order to put some substance back into his life, our star decides to hire a string of ladies of the night, all with red hair to help fulfil the gap that Evelyn left, unfortunately for these women, they are never seen again.

To further compound the situation for our young aristocrat, he decides to marry a drop-dead gorgeous blonde played by the delightful Marina Malfatti when strange apparitions appear that lead our main character to believe that Evelyn has returned from the grave.

Creepy sets and budget effects really add to the ambience of the Night Evelyn Came that is directed by Emilio Miraglia, this movie is your classic 70's horror that features enough scares and plot twists to really draw you into this movie and to make things even more interesting, the title has been remastered in glorious widescreen and Dolby Digital stereo. Worth a look for those wishing to travel down memory lane. Although I must admit, the movie is quite clichéd and predictable at the best of times.
