The Basics of Poker - A Guide for Beginners

With the popularity of Joker Poker on Television and World Series Poker, it was inevitible that a DVD would be released to teach players the fine art of poker and "The Basics of Poker: A Guide to Beginniners" is that DVD.

This DVD features Joe Fortin, the founder of the Hollywood Poker Academy who takes the player through the basics of poker and also discusses general tips for future poker sharks that is not too heavy on theory and uses a laid back approach that will be understood by everyone.

Although there are a variety of different types of poker, this DVD covers a wide variety of popular offshoots such as Texas Hold 'Em and Seven Card Stud to name a few of the inclusions. Just running at over 61 minutes, The Basics of Poker: A guide to Beginnings is valuable resource for those wishing to master this game.

Even though I previously been self-taught to play poker, this DVD helped refine those skills and took me through the different hands and odds, fine tuning my poker abilities. Recommended!
