The Postcard Bandit

Dubbed by the media as “The Postcard Bandit”, Brendan Abbott was rumoured to send postcards of his travels to the police chasing him. He is one of the most colourful and notorious criminals to raise the blood pressure of every Australian cop – and at times, even attract their grudging admiration.

This tale that is loosely based on a true story features Tom Long as Brendan Abbot who left police a trail of postcards from where he just performed a criminal activity. Although the ending is already known before the movie finishes, Long does a brilliant job at playing this foolhardy criminal who loves to tease the authorities. An entertaining Australian tale that is recommended to Australian movie buffs!

The audio and video quality of this tale feature clear and sharp images with Dolby Digital 2.0, unfortunately no extras are included on this release of the movie.
