Paris Je T'Aime

Paris Je T’Aime is unlike any Hollywood romantic movie that features a plethora of internationally renowned directors and actors in the city of lights in this collection of 18 different stories set in various locales of Paris. Masterfully directed to showcase the various aspects of this bustling city, each director gives his own unique insight into the stories and locations.

The directors included in this 2-disc collection include Oliver Assayas from France, Daniela Thomas from Brazil, Nobuhiro Suwa from Japan and even Wes Craven from the United States which gives the collection an almost holistic approach to romance.

The international cast of actors really make the effort in creating something romantically beautiful which include actors such as Natalie Portman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Steve Buscemi and Gérard Depardieu to name a few of the stars that grace this DVD.

Each story is uniquely different and whether its the nervous American tourist played by Steve Buscemi as he witnesses lovers quarrel or Oliver Schmitz’s “Place des Fêtes" which displays the impact a stabbing has on a young person (Aïssa Maïga), each story is compact snapshot of live with emotion, life and history.

Although some stories fail short, the majority of short stories in this compilation is definitely recommended to those lovers of drama who enjoy a good nights company at home.
