Norman Granz Presents Improvisation

Norman Granz Presents Improvisation is an engaging 2-disc DVD collection for lovers of Jazz and the master himself, Charlie Parker. Featuring never before seen footage of Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington and a variety of other jazz, bebop and blues greats, this collection could almost be considered the definitive collection of this era.

The idea of Improvisation was created by Norman Granz in the 1950's to showcase a variety of musical geniuses of the era and included in this DVD is the original footage from Granz and co with some wonderful interviews about these jazz, blues and bebop artists. Considering the age of the footage, the quality is quite acceptable as is the sound quality.
