Medical Defence
Australia tells the tale of when things do not go as planned for doctors
and they are sued by patients. The MDA team provides a team of experts
who can legally represent these people. Due to the nature of the cases,
each is represented by a doctor and also legal staff.
This particular
storyline Second Chance is a four part special that takes place within
the regular series, guest starring the lovely Sigrid Thornton who is
always a pleasure to watch. It revolves around medical indemnity and the
personal struggle that Happy Henderson encounters when dealing with
her.
The plot of this series
is very tightly written and the characterisation of the main proponents
is excellent. The beauty of having such a great cast is that you are
going to be fully drawn into the world that is being portrayed on the
screen and this happens from the very start of the disc.
Video and Audio quality
is what you would expect from a newish title and certainly is not
lacking in quality. Being mode for television, the sound is recorded in
stereo only so don’t expect anything from the surround speakers.
There is nothing to
expect from the extras, you are purely buying this one for the show
itself. MDA is a powerful show that will demand your attention from the
moment that it starts right until the powerful end.
