John Safran the Lost Pilot

This was a hard disc to review and initially it seemed like a collection of crap that John Safran and the ABC were trying to get rid of. Although I must admit that I have a soft spot for this whacky Jew from Melbourne and even though much of the material has been aired before, it was still entertaining to watch this quirky and quite intelligent comedian.

If you're a fan of his previous TV shows and enjoy his Triple J segments, than you've come to the right spot and even though he's younger, his sense of humour is still the same.

In essence, this DVD collects his best moments from Race Around the World that include breaking into to Disneyland and placing a curse on an ex-girlfriend plus some more strange segments such as John Safran Masterchef which takes the viewer on a behind the scenes segment of where food actually comes from. Of course, if you want to see how "beef" is made, you better not watch this DVD.

With 76 minutes of Safran goodness or badness if you're Ray Martin (yes it does include the clip with Ray Martin getting "violent" on John), this DVD will have you shocked, laughing and sometimes staring in horror at the screen as John streaks through Jerusalem, sets fire to himself and stalks Ray Martin with one of the Paxton kids, it doesn't get any better or worse than this!

Champaign comedy at its best!
