Jamie's 15 Minute Meals the Complete

Seemingly having taken little of the backlash surrounding his previous series to heart, the irrepressible Mr Oliver has evidently determined that his 30 minute Meals required too much of an investment of modern man’s most precious commodity – time.  Whittling his creations down to a seemingly impossible 15 minutes, in this brand new series Jamie takes the concept of simple, delicious and most of all fast meals to a whole new level.   

Shock’s 15 Minute Meals box set contains all 40 episodes of the series spread out over no less than 6 discs.  Presented in real time, each episode demonstrates the boyish maestro’s passion for healthy, hearty and most of delicious food.  Some of Jamie’s most mouth-watering creations yet are to be found within, including a Chorizo Carbonara that looked so good that even I was roused from the sofa in an attempt to recreate its charms.  Did I manage it in 15 minutes?  Er, no.  But did it taste amazing?  You bet your ass. 

And here in a nutshell is the essence of 15 Minute Meals.  Is the advertising and the premise itself a trifle ambitious?  Possibly.  But the recipes within, like Oliver’s intentions in getting people cooking healthy and delicious meals at home, cannot be faulted.
