Jackass the Lost Tapes

Forgive me father for I have sinned and I'm a Jackass fan! When I heard that Paramount was releasing another Jackass release, I was in sinful heaven and needless to say, a little excited! Once again I could watch those crazy men perform a variety of ridiculous stunts, generally to someone's detriment and more specifically, schadenfreude, the German word for laughing at other people's misfortune.

Whether it's making vomit omlettes, punching each other in the head or attempting something stupidly dangerous, it's hard not get involved when you're watching these idiots perform these outrageous stunts. Unfortunately for Jackass the Lost Tapes, a lot of the content is actually not new and if you own any of the series or movies of Jackass, some will be quite familiar.

It seems like Paramount have taken all the special features and extras from the aforementioned titles and then put in some "lost" content to create this current release. The other issue is that the content seems quite mediocre and there was an obvious reason why it wasn't included but nonetheless, there are a few gems in this collection of goofy Jackass stunts that had me laughing, turning away in disgust and peeking through the corner of my eye to see what was happening.

The video quality is a mixed bag from handheld cameras to professional video cameras but the TV series was never about professionalism. The sound quality matches the video quality but if you're a fan of Johnny Knoxville, Bam Magera, Steve-O or our little oompa loompa Wee-Man and you're craving for a fix of Jackass, than there's far worse things to watch.

Maybe rent before you buy!
