I Do

I Do is the delightful French comedy about a 43-year old man called Luis Costa (Alain Chabat) who refuses to get married and his perfect life is being single. Unfortunately for our luckless hero, his mother and five sisters constantly badger him in getting married and in order to silence his critics, he hires a woman to play his girlfriend.

Although not a slapstick comedy, I Do is a subtle comedy that shows the human side to the characters in an extremely delightful and entertaining way. The director also gives us an insight into Luis Costa's life as he was raised by his mother and five sisters with the family always vetoing him and when the sisters agree that he should marry, they start their search for women. A cute comedy that will leave some viewers questioning the sexuality of our happy and single hero.
