Artemis '81

The classic 1980’s science fiction series Artemis ’81 arrives on DVD which revolves around Gideon Harlax who becomes inspired by the theft of a pagan statute from a Danish museum.

As he commences his novel, he travels to various destinations in search of answers and one day aboard the North Sea Ferry, he meets three men with whom two may be angels.

With elements of mysticism, science fiction and drama, Artemis ’81 is an insightful series that has some great acting performances by Hywel Bennett, Dinah Stabb, Dan OHerlihy, Ian Redford, Margaret Whiting, Seville Delofski, Roland Curram, Daniel Day-Lewis & Sting.

All the characters in the series are quite immersive, each with their own hidden agendas as they all become embroiled into a much larger plot. Consider Artemis ’81 as a science fiction thriller and if both these elements appeal to you, than this may be the series for you.
