D-Link ANZ Launches Industry’s First Wi-Fi Siren

SYDNEY, 25 November 2015: D-Link ANZ today announced the industry’s first Smart Wi-Fi Siren, the DCH-S220, being the latest addition to its Connected Home series of products. The siren has been designed to work in conjunction with other D-Link compatible Connected Home devices1 and when paired with a D-Link Smart Motion Sensor (DCH-S150), it can generate an audible alarm, as well as provide notifications to your tablet or smartphone, wherever you are, whether you are in the office, or travelling on the other side of the world.

D-Link ANZ MD Graeme Reardon explained, “Our new Smart Wi-Fi Siren means that you will never again miss an intruder entering your home, especially as we approach the key Christmas and New Year holiday period, when many homes are left unattended. Paired with a D-Link Smart Motion Sensor which detects any movement in your home, an unmissable warning blares from the siren, with configurable sounds and volume levels, and importantly you can also receive a notification to your tablet or smartphone, so that you can enjoy peace of mind and relax on your holiday, knowing that your home is safe and secure.

As with all D-Link Smart Connected Home products, set up is easy. Simply plug the Smart Wi-Fi Siren into an existing power point in the most convenient spot in your home for maximum effectiveness, press the WPS button on the Siren and your existing home router, and you’re done. No extra monitoring fees. No extra wiring. Simple.”
The siren features six different alarm sounds, adjustable volume up to 100 decibels and a compact AC-powered wall plug design that requires no additional power cables.

D-Link’s Smart Connected Home solutions truly simplify home automation and security with the mydlink Home app featuring an intuitive design that is easy to navigate and fun to use. The mydlink Home app, available on both Android and iOS, allows you to control, view and manage all your D-Link Smart Connected Home devices, and set up rules to have them talk to each other. Whether it’s a D-Link Smart Plug (DSP-W215) which turns on connected appliances or lamps remotely or via a schedule, or a Smart Motion Sensor (DCH-S150) which can trigger both devices, the D-Link Connected Home solution makes automating your home a breeze.
