Avert your eyes, kids: Things heat up at Oz Comic-Con Brisbane with exclusive 18+ Avenue Qperformance
Ever wondered what an un-PC, adults-only version of Sesame Street might look like? Then look no further than Avenue Q.
In a national exclusive, the very naughty (but very funny) Avenue Q is giving Oz Comic-Con Brisbane attendees a sneak peek, with a special adults only (18+) performance on Sunday 20th September at 12pm.
Avenue Q will also have a stand at Oz Comic-Con Brisbane, giving attendees the family-friendly opportunity to meet the puppets and get a first-hand glimpse into the hilarious, award-winning puppet musical.
Avenue Q is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. There, he meets Kate (the girl next door), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet sexpert), Lucy the Slut (need we say more?) and other colourful types who help Princeton finally discover his purpose in life.
Since its Broadway debut in 2003, Avenue Qhas won three Tony Awards and two Theatre World Awards. Avenue Q will be appearing at the Brisbane Arts Theatre from 17th October- 19th December.
Oz Comic-Con Brisbane guests also include Richard Dean Anderson (MacGyver, Stargate SG-1), Daniel Portman (Game of Thrones), Dante Basco (Hook) and Mike McFarland (Dragon Ball-Z) amongst many others. Over the coming weeks, many more amazing names will be added to this stellar line-up. Guests will be available over the weekend for autograph and photograph opportunities, as well as taking part in exclusive Q&A panels.
