Big & Bold – 32 inches of 1440p resolution from BenQ

May 2014, Sydney Australia:     Extending their reach into new unchartered categories, BenQ Australia have released their first ever 32” monitor, the BL3200PT equipped with a 1440p WQHD (2560X1440) VA panel, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio (20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio) and a 4ms GTG response time,  all housed in a stylish slim bezel for multi-purpose applications.

Designed to appeal to graphic designers and creative enthusiasts with sRGB and a dedicated CAD/CAM and Animation modes, this fully adjustable (tilt, height, swivel and pivot into portrait) anti-glare screen provides strong contrast performance, good colour reproduction and enhanced resolution for those looking for more than standard performance from their computer monitor.

Said Martin Moelle, BenQ Australia’s MD, “While the BL3200PT is targeting professional users with exacting demands, the monitor features a sleek design, slim frame and 100% sRGB colour reproduction in 1440p resolution, meaning it will suit anyone desiring a larger than standard viewing panel with optimal resolution for added visual enjoyment.  It’s a monitor which also lends well to multimedia applications with a faster response time, and being a VA panel it doesn’t suffer from light leakage, generates deeper blacks and greater definition for superb, crystal clear imagery.

“Designed to impress at a price never before seen for a monitor with its size, capabilities and quality, the BL3200PT has universal appeal and offers high-impact in any business or home environment,” said Moelle.

The BL3200PT’s connectivity is generous, offering VGA, Dual Link DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, 2 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0 ports (plus a mini USB port for the OSD controller and USB upstream), SD card reader, 3.5mm headphone jack and 3.5mm audio output.  5W stereo speakers are built into the monitor providing quality sound output.

“With WQHD resolution becoming increasingly popular, we expect the monitor will be a popular choice for designers and anyone working in creative industrial disciplines requiring CAD/CAM or animation capabilities, as well as office workers generally and indeed many home users will also find this monitor’s extended applications of real interest,” said Moelle.

A stylish design, the new BenQ 32” BL3200PT has a small footprint and takes up minimal workspace due to its compact stand which enables the screen to sit at the edge of the desk for greater work flexibility and comfort.  Its slim bezel makes multi-display set up possible with two or more units.
