Digital Playground have moved away from their traditional boy/girl movies with their amazing new lesbian enticed series called Cherry for their Jewel Box line that stars the perfect Riley Steele, one of their most popular contract girls. Joining Digital Playground in this amazing release is writer/director Kay Brandt who really captures what it means to be a women and the passion behind their steamy romances. With every scene beautifully setup from the luxurious sets to mood lighting and the scantily clad wardrobe of the stars, Cherry is definitely not a formulaic adult film as each star uniquely shows the viewer an aspect of their womanly nature, emotions and power which definitely creates a spark for the viewer.

As opposed to other adult films, Cherry actually stars a mainstream actress in the story, Judith Thompson (Made in America, Teach Me Tonight, The Immortal) who plays the mysterious character Cherry, an owner of a strip club. Thompson also adds a level of credibility to the story as she lusts after her workers, setting them up in sexual explosive scenarios in order to fuel her own dark voyeuristic nature. But when sexy newcomer Winterlynn joins the girls at the club, things might become a little tricky for Cherry and just like a mainstream movie, there are several plots interweaving with the main plot, however lesbian romance and sex is the end goal.

Another highlight of Cherry is that the movie stars some amazing women from the adult industry that include Celeste Star, Sinn Sage, Ann Marie Rios, Nina Mercedez, Vicki Chase, Ash Hollywood and Lux Kassidy who not only look amazing but are a treat to watch. Joining Judith Thompson in non-sex roles are Raylene, Zoey Holloway and Diamond Foxxx who prove that they are more than just eye candy at this all-girl strip club. The only cliché in this movie are the cool stripper names that the girls have but apart from that... it's all good.

Running at just over 170 minutes, Cherry is definitely a Digital Playground epic and will appeal to both male and female fans alike. The action in Cherry starts quite steamily with scene one beginning with Cherry (Judith Thompson) as she lies on the bed with her two lovers. This scene soon moves to the bathroom where the viewer is soon treated to a truly hot scene that has Riley Steele and Lux Kassidy enjoying each others bodies. There's some great cinematography involved here as the cameraman ensures that all facets of this love making session are captured. I think the scene of Riley fingering Lux from behind will truly be burned into my memory forever or seeing Lux orgasm, her stomach muscles tightening as Riley passionately eats her out. As a Riley fan, Cherry is definitely made for Riley fans as she kisses, licks and explores her co-stars like a true lesbian. It's a true sensualist erotic experience. Complaints? None at all.

Scene two once again stars Riley as she pleasures herself in the shower while her lover Cherry looks on. Riley offers some great finger action here and once again cements the fact that this young adult star is one of the best in the industry and with 53,527 (15/05/2011) Twitter fans, it's easy to see why. Seeing the water run off her naked body as she uses the shower hose between her legs is true porn eye candy.

Scene three stars the lovely raven haired beauty Celeste Star as Devon that commences with Sinn Sage giving her a very hot lap dance. With some great eye contact in the scene and plenty of girl on girl action, Celeste is hotter than the sun and seeing these girls explore each others bodies with their tongues and hands is a sight to behold. The dry humping scene in the chair is definitely a highlight as is Celeste eating out Sinn while she fingers herself rigorously. I love the use of the mirror in this scene. Next up is Nina Mercedez as Eternity and Ash Hollywood, a relatively newcomer to the adult industry and this scene is extremely hot to watch as these two girls make out. From sucking on each others perfect tits to a passionate fling of cunnilingus, this is what lesbians scenes are all about. There's a great contrast in this scene as well with the brunette on blonde, large breasts and small breasts.

Scene five is an amazing threesome that stars Riley Steele, Sinn Sage and Nina Mercedez. This all-girl threesome is definitely one of the wow moments of the movie as the chemistry behind the three is quite full-on and as opposed to the rather passionate scenes before them, this one is more aggressive and lustful. Lots of humping and leg scissor action here. Following this hot scene, we get an awesome lap dance from Sinn Sage who gives Raylene a lap dance she will not forget. I really enjoyed Sinn Sage in this movie as Winterlynn as she created a rather unique and sexual charged character. Although no penetration in this scene, it is quite seductive to watch as Sinn gyrates on Raylene and its almost like you are getting your own personal dance.

The final scene stars Ann Marie Rios and Vicki Chase and after a hot and heavy routine on the stage, they both retreat to the bedroom. Like the previous scenes, there plenty of romantic eye contact as they lay gentle kisses on each other. Seeing Vicki suck on the breasts of Ann Marie or pleasuring her pussy is pure eye candy, thanks to the careful camera work. With both girls exploring each other slowly and passionately, the scene ends with some hot gyrating between them both. In the end, Cherry is definitely the perfect lesbian film and every minute that I watched the movie seemed to build the tension through its sensual scenes but where this film works is through the believable story, characters and the emotions that they display which is a far cry from many adult films of today.

On Blu-ray Cherry comes alive with its realistic and sharp images. Although some of the scenes use mood lighting, it only enhances the story and the scenes. With deep blacks, vibrant colours, we could not find any issues with this release in terms of video quality. Match that with Dolby Digital 5.1 and you hear all the whispers, whimpers, kisses and sounds of passion perfectly. Even the soundtrack was quite decent in this movie. For special features, Cherry contains a rather in-depth Behind the Scenes documentary as we learn more behind director Kay Brandt and that of mainstream actress Judith Thompson who really fitted in quite well with these adult stars. There's some great moments showcasing each of the girls in the movie and here's hoping that we'll be seeing Cherry 2 soon. Lastly, we have the obligatory photo galleries, slide shows and Digital Playground Trailers. Digital Playground make some amazing movies and they needed something to shake things up and Cherry was that movie.
